Sarah Anne Jones is a British actor and producer best recognized by her stage name Suranne Jones. Suranne Jones has been an actor and producer from the UK. The actress gained notoriety for her character Ruth Slater, the detective in a procedural police drama 'Scott & Bailey and along with Gemma Foster, the GP in a medical drama "Doctor Foster.' Jones, who is originally of Chadderton in Greater Manchester, joined Oldham Theatre Workshop where she received the BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts. She began performing on stage at the age of eight older, and was the lead character Gloria in the production "Wait Until Dark".
