Yael Stein Yael Stein, who is Australian living in New York City since 2013, played Lorna Morrello on Orange Is the New Black. Yael has received her NIDA diploma. Yael, despite her young age, has been given the opportunity to learn from one of Australia's best storytellers. Yael has a very professional career that has been a success in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael's new life in New York City began when her production was critically acclaimed by the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Yael was the co-founder of The Cannery. The Cannery promotes creative ideas in writing and also creative projects through its Bushwick studio.
