An impressive career can conceal some of the darkest stories beneath. Winner of the USA and World championships in hurdle events, Lolo Jones has reached her current standing after plenty of effort and immense amount of patience. Jones was the sole member of a family with five children as well as grew up living in poverty. She lived with her mom at a basement church and was always moving around. Jones was required to go to a new high school each year because of her nomadic background. In 2003 and in 2004, Jones was the winner of the indoor hurdles competition at the NCAA Championship. Jones had completed her college education in 2005, started to train hard for track. She won two events, the Torino Memorial and the Heusden Track races during the same season.

Brandt relocated to Auckland, New Zealand after moving from Cape Town South Africa in late in her adolescence. Discovered by local casting directors Brandt took on the role as Naevia for the Starz hit series Spartacus: Blood and Sand as well as Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. Her performance was a hit for both the audience and the producer Steven S. D Knight, Sam Raimi and Sam Raimi. She was on the show's hit Netflix series Lucifer that ran for a six years run as the fan most loved Vertigo/DC comic book character Mazikeen. Lucifer was a smash hit and broke record for binge watching and was named the most binged show in 2021 by Forbes. Brandt will be next seen with Andrew Lincoln, Danai Guarira as well as others Walking Dead cast members in the six episode Walking Dead spinoff that airs in 2020. Lesley Brandt moved with her entire family of New Zealand to Auckland in the year 1999. The year 1999, in Auckland Brandt began her career as a Retailer, then got upgraded to IT Management Consultant. Lesley's career began with a few model projects. Then she appeared in countless commercial advertisements. Her acting degree was completed in 2008 and continues to study the methods of Meisner. Lesley Brandt made a guest appearance on the New Zealand's television series Shortland Street in the role of a supporting actor. Lesley Brandt appeared as Naevia as a hostage who was a teenager in the Television show Spartacus: Blood and Sand. Her character was featured in Spartacus: Gods of the Arena.
